Our History

Mary and Rogers Palmer established The Palmer Foundation in 1990. The original Board consisted of Mary Palmer, President; Jay Owen, Secretary-Treasurer and Leonard Enroth (now deceased) and Mary Palmer Enroth, Vice Presidents. 

When the Foundation was fully vested in 1995, the Board was enlarged to include Mary Palmer Enroth's daughter, Karen Enroth Lischick; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Sullivan (has now resigned as Director) and Susan Lemieux Enroth; and later Charlly Enroth and Matt Lischick. A Grant Application and Guidelines were established.

Currently, The Palmer Foundation Board of Directors accepts proactive domestic and international grants initiated by the Board Members, which are in the focus areas of environment, health and youth empowerment.
